Jason was celebrated by his peers on November 2, 2024, at the Pendry Hotel in Newport Beach for the annual Orange County Trial Lawyer Association’s (OCTLA) Top Gun Awards and Charity Benefit dinner where he received his award for Trial Lawyer of the Year in the category of Medical Malpractice. The case he won the award for was entitled Conway v. Bai, et al., which took nearly six years from filing to verdict. Jason represented the family of a 54-year-old Deputy Sheriff who tragically died following a severe motor vehicle accident and subsequent medical mismanagement. Specifically, the case centered around the failure to continue Mr. Conway on his anticoagulation medication, leading to a fatal pulmonary embolism. Jason’s thorough understanding of the medical records, innovative trial strategies, and relentless pursuit of justice resulted in a $2,150,000 jury verdict for the Conway family.
