Jason Argos is the Founder and Lead Trial Attorney of Argos Law, a Newport Beach litigation firm focused on medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death cases throughout California and Minnesota. About Jason

A respected leader in the trial lawyer community, Jason serves on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association (OCTLA) and is slated to become President in 2029. He is also an active member of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) and the Minnesota Association of Justice, reflecting his deep commitment to advancing justice through trial advocacy.

Jason earned his B.S. in Communications from the University of Arizona, where he walked on to the football team as a quarterback—an early reflection of his competitive drive and discipline. He went on to earn his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, graduating a semester early. During law school, Jason served as President of the Moot Court Honor Society, competed in national moot court competitions, and worked as a certified legal intern for the California Attorney General’s Office, where he drafted appellate briefs and argued five cases before the California Courts of Appeal—an uncommon achievement for a law student.

After passing the California Bar Exam in February 2011, Jason began his career as a litigation associate at Reback, McAndrews, Kjar, Warford & Stockalper before joining Sedgwick LLP in downtown Los Angeles. Unfulfilled by large-firm practice, Jason made a fortuitous phone call in November 2016 to Sean Burke, a plaintiff’s attorney he had tried a case against the year prior. That call would permanently alter his career path.

In January 2017, Jason joined the Law Offices of Sean M. Burke, a premier plaintiff-only medical malpractice firm. There, he served as lead or co-lead trial counsel on over a half dozen trials and arbitrations. In 2019, he was named partner, forming Burke | Argos, Trial Attorneys. When Mr. Burke transitioned to full-time mediation in 2022, Jason founded Argos Law with the vision of building one of California’s premier medical malpractice trial firms.

Jason is admitted to practice in all courts in California and Minnesota and has been widely recognized for his trial work, including being named OCTLA’s 2024 Top Gun – Trial Lawyer of the Year for Medical Malpractice, along with multiple Southern California Super Lawyers “Rising Star” selections.

Outside of practice, Jason enjoys time with his family, golfing, and being at the beach in beautiful Orange County. He remains deeply committed to the legal community through speaking engagements, mentorship, and continuing education programs – bringing that same dedication and leadership to every case he handles at Argos Law.
